I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (aka Manic Depression) about three months ago. Since I am only 14, I didn't have a choice in starting meds or not. I am a zealot for self-reliance, and hate that I have to depend on medication to get through my weekly-routines. I am totally against it, but there is no way of stopping my medication until I'm 18. I've realized that there are many teens on medication, and it's pretty sad. Are any of you on medication for a mental illness? Do you like it or dislike it?
