Well actually, the "
thou shalt not kill" is sort of a controversial translation, because the original Hewbrew version uses similar or exact words for "kill" and "murder". However, "murder" was used, it's just that most Bibles translate it as "kill", which in today's society means the same thing as murder, just about. No idea why, I just know they do it.
Also, after the death of Christ, we are no longer under the rules/laws set by Moses in the Old Testament. Which is why churches don't put homosexuals, or cotton blend wearing people to death. Good point though.
