We've had a storm almost every single day for the last 2 weeks [ - maybe, 1-2 days?].
Infact, there's a thunderstorm brewing as I am writing this.
Before, I'd think storms were fun - fun to listen to, fun to watch, fun to light all the candles when the power went out.
But now, it's just absolutely draining. It brings a miserable tone to everything.
Last week, it blew one of our [50+ year old trees] down onto our fence. The night before last, there was marble-sized hail.
I don't get how it could possibly storm this much. Usually, we're lucky if we get one/week.
Being that Alberta is a mainly agricultural province, our economy is going to be badly bruised if this continues [although, as of right now, oil/gas-drilling is the largest part of our economy]. The rain is flooding our crops. And the strangest thing, is when I looked at the creek yesterday, it was nothing but a stream. Where is all the rain going?!
