Default Do you have a favorite celebrity and want to look like her/him?

Do you have an "idol"?

Many have had idols as teenagers and tried to be like them. I remember my sister liked Britney Spears (when she sang in the beginning) and tried to look like her. She used to buy clothes similar to Britney's. The only thing she didn't do is dye her hair blond...

So, do you have a favorite someone?

When I was little, I remember changing my idols every day First I wanted to be Michael Jackson so I was moonwalking in my kitchen daily, after that Britney Spears came up and I started practicing cheerleader moves, then there were Usher's videos (which were actually similar to MJ if I only consider their dancing parts!)... Movie stars also influenced me after I grew up, I hated them for always looking perfect Of course, back then, I had no idea what it takes to make someone look that great on the big screens, but anyways!

I never tried to look identicaly to my idols, but I did kind of adopt what I saw best in them - especially their dance moves. And I always try to look at my best, take care of myself, of my health, practice sports, and so on. No that I grew up and don't have anymore idols, I think those influences were actually positive for me...

Of course, there are kids nowadays who try to copy everything they see in their idol, and I don't know how much of a good idea is that: especially with the media writing all the time about Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton! I don't understand why there aren't anymore good examples for kids to follow, and everybody has to shock in a bad way in order to get media's attention...

When I was smaller I used to like some celebrities, but never wanted to be like any of them. I always liked to be myself and not copy anyone. In the end it's not such a good idea to mimic someone, having your own style is always the best
