Red face Authors you admire

basically authors you respect because they've produced amazing pieces of work and you recommend it heartily to others.
Maybe give a bit of a blur about the author and what genre of books they write.

Orwell, Tolkien, and C.S Lewis. I loved how Orwell described socialism in his books, as I agree with them obviously; Middle-earth is the most fully rationalized fictional world I've ever read about; and Lewis was a great debator, though his fictional works are kind of childish.
