Hi,

First off i'd like to say high cause this is my first post lol. So my names Edd, im 14 and I've never had a relationship or come close for that matter. I'm half, half (chinese and western) and Im really small for my age and year group. I get pushed around a lot by the bigger guys and a few occasions when I get racial comments thrown at me.

The problem is, is that I think that girls are not interested with me is because of my size and possibly race. The reason i've suddenly come up with this is because i've seen a girl i like and unfortunatly shes in the year above however shes only a few inches taller than me so not that bad. She looks at me a lot and smiles and I smile back but even worse she has a boyfriend 3 years older than her (four years older than me). She seems special, shes definitely beautiful and I hear she has a great personallity from what i gathered from friends who are in my year, so she seems very special.

I just feel like if i get involved with her maybe her boyfriend will try to have a go at me and i can barely hold off boys in my own year, nevermind those 4 years older than me. However, once again teh tables turn her boyfriend leaves school in 3 days and only comes back for exams, and after that he goes off to uni, so i could have a chance there.

I also feel that because im small girls see me more of a cute "baby" than the boyfriend status.

So yes, the first time, it seems really scary to me, I have completely no idea what I should do to possibly go out with her. I hope someone can help and thankyou, it would be very much appreciated

You do not have to worry about your height, size or similar. It is not that important as it used to look for boys. I know, I'm teen too, but honestly, it is much more important if you are sincere and smart. If I were you, I would approach and try to speak with her. You have clear signs that she likes you (or at least, have some sympathies for you). If nothing, you could be a friends, which is also OK.

By the way, don't allow to be scared of her boyfriend. Remember, you have a friedns too that can defend you if he tries to hurt you or something. If you really love her, the other things are not important, there are just she and you

Who cares how old you are and how tall..
if a girl really likes you then she will like you for your personality.
Create a friend status instead of going straight for the kill..
lol ive always wanted to say that.
but seriously, make her see your charming side.

you're only 14
i hope the girl you're looking at, 15 is really special and mature because i think about that age most girls wont look at boys younger than them because they believe themselves more mature. The boyfriend she has probably makes her feel she has a good status with him because he's older [i know petty but it seems to happen].

i think at this present moment, when people are teenagers, are shallow, you are at a disadvantage but hey, you'll grow. Can't stop you befriending her either
