There's a reason we have higher order thinking abilities. As humans, you can over-ride instincts with "emotions and will." Stop being idiots. To fear anything is stupidity in its highest form, and to fear a simple "no" from a woman is even worse.

correction, you can override SOME instincts with emotins and will. For example, the fight or flight response is instinct, which has no time to be determined by your little "emotions and will" theory.

Oh and btw, to fear is not stupidity in its highest form....if ur faced with 3 fucking hungry lions in front of you, are u going to be scared? Again the fight or flight instinct kicks in. And, im sure you know what this is because of your respectful intelligence and vocabulary (and yes, it is a compliment, im not patronizing you.). So, if the fight or flight instinct is an ACTUAL INSTINCT, than fear is actually hard-wired into the human brain....so therefore it cannot be "stupidity" just our own way of logical, or illogical for that matter, thinking.

You must not realize the immense power of the human brain. Basically, we override every instinct present in animals. There is no fight or flight instinct because the basic instinct in "any" dangerous situation is flight. If evolution were true, humans have not been equipped physically with defenses needed to fight in any dangerous situation.

Ask anyone who has faced a situation like this, if fear had anything to do with their actions. The answer will be "I didn't have time to be scared, I knew what I needed to do/Did what I had to do." When faced with a life or death situation, and split second thinking/actions are required, your mind does not waste time with fear.

However, since asking a girl out isn't a life or death situation, this doesn't apply. Njord can still call him scared and ball-less.

And yet, there is a fight or flight instinct, and if the situation is potentially dangerous, some of us will still stand and fight. If "flighting in every dangerous situatin were true"...wouldn't that be called fear?

there is always an amount of fear in a life/death situation, be it miniscule or not. Those quotes that you just said(didnt have time to think or be scared), you usually see that on TV. I know many people who have been in life/death situtions and have been scared shitless, yet they did what they thought was logical, at the time.
