Default Should I ask her?

Ok, put yourself in my shoes for a minute and tell me what you think I should do. I am a jr. in High school.

I really like this girl I met 4 months ago. We have been talking to each other sometimes for about 1 month. She is starting to get to know me and I am starting to get to know her. I would consider her a friend right now. We say hi to each other when we see each other after school playing sports and stuff. We can't both drive though because of our ages. I want to ask her out but I keep thinking about it because I have a class with her where I sit right next to her. I'm afraid if she says no then it would be awkward in class. And last, since we both can't drive, I was gonna just ask her to go out with me in general. (Not on a date right away) What would be a good way to ask her? I usually give someone a hug after I ask them out but should I do something different?

What would you do? Ask her? Wait?
thanks

Ask her. No need to explain. You like her, it will all work out.

Ask her.
And as for the awkwardness in class, the situation is only as awkward as you make it

Stop pussying out and ask, and be a man if she rejects you.
