Where do you get off thinking He's a prophet, but not the Son of God?

The Bible itself says He was placed in the womb of Mary. And assuming you get your belief of Jesus from what is said in the Bible, it is practically a logical malfunction to think that He is not the Son of God. Being the Son of God is not that big of deal. It doesn't mean He is God, if that's what you've been thinking all this time.

What a sensitive topic.

Well, from my perspective, there's too many sources saying that he rose from the dead. Nobody can really do that so he, in my eyes, is/was the son of god. You people say there's no proof, but that's where faith comes into play.

...I'm sorry, did you just reason that since it's claimed he rose from the dead, and he'd have to be the son of God to do that, leaving you with

a) he didn't rise from the dead
or
b) he is the son of God

You felt b was more logically sound?

Clearly Jess either A) doesn't know what aviators are or B) is joking.

Umm....are you out of your mind? We're talking about a being who ONLY has been known to have existed in TWO books, one of which is the Bible, which states He WAS the Son of God. It states it very plainly too.

And since the other book is the Koran, what reason do you have to believe the Koran over the Bible? Since when, by comparison, is the Bible NOT something to go by on this topic, SSN? I don't think you're reasoning is very consistent.

It appears you are a Muslim, SSN. If you are, tell me why the book by which your beliefs come is more valid than the from which mine come?

I believe that everyone has the ability to connect with "god", because in short we ARE "god" manifesting itself on a physical plane. Jesus was just one of the few in his day that knew this, and tried to teach others how to reach the same point.

I think when SSN said prophet he meant philosopher. If I'm correct that should instantly clear up all your questions.

I think instituting the Eucharist and sacrificing your livelihood such as Jesus did is a little more than spiritual manifestation. He was the real and true Physical Manifestation of God.
