Default Weird foods

Have you ever tryed foods that to some of us may seem not normal? Like snake meat, dog meat, insects, frog legs etc? Would you try it? What`s your opinion about strange food and the people that eat it as a normal habbit?

I don't really have an opinion on it.
I've tried alot of weird foods, like escargot, caviar, calamari, frogs legs, chocolate covered bugs...ants and grass hoppers, and a lot more.
I don't think i could eat an animal, like cats or dogs, just because of my culture, but if i lived in china (i think they eat dogs there....) i probably would, because it would be part of my culture.

I haven't tried any weird foods... or at least i can't remember eating something unusual ever.

My dad however did eat snails. And my mom ate frog legs.
I know it sounds disgusting, but they told me they actually enjoyed that food.
I cannot imagine how it could be like to eat a snail... or parts or frogs... or sea-shells... it sounds to icky.

I did try many weird foods, and I hope I will name them correctly... I tried frog legs and crabs (they taste like chicken, only that they smell bad...), I tried calamari, octopus (look here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus ), which also are good, just that they are a little bit hard to bite and swallow.. I would never try snails or oysters, i hate those! Oh, and I also love that french cheese, that has mould on it.. I don't know it's name...anywayz.

I ate some octopus 3 years ago. Can't say it was horrible since it realy tasted awesome. Still, whenever I would look at the plate I would just feel sick. The taste was great, but I had to eat it without looking too much at the food itself
