OK, it's clear, we need to pay more attention so that we don't destroy our home planet entirely. There are many documentaries, TV shows, magazine articles, all praising ways to keep the planet safe and clean. My question now, to all of us, is: what do you personally do to help this cause? Spread the word? Try to reduce electricity consumption? reciclying some more?

I recycle (when I remember) and try to use public transport whenever possible, but to be honest there's probably a lot more I could do to "save the planet".

Sadly, whatever I do is kind of canceled out by the four billion other people that don't do a thing.

I don't drive, and i don't plan on driving, i recycle, and i always turn off lights, and appliances and stuff.
I also try to eat locally, but that doesn't always work out.

I sometimes plant trees with my father on the country-side. It`s a cool feeling to now that you did such a simple job that would aid the planet a lot but I get angry when I see so little people do this job even though it`s simple. You take one "stick", put it in the ground and that`s about it. And those baby trees are cheap too.

i never throw garbage randomly on the street, i keep it in my pocket or bag and throw it at home, if i don't find a lace to throw it otherwise.

I pick on people (yes, i do that) if i see someone throw a paper/napkin or whatever on the street. Sometimes they pick up their garbage and blush, sometimes they ignore me.

I like to think I do many good things for the Earth, when compared to others, but I don't do as much as I would want to, or as much as it is needed for a big effect. The ones who try to keep the planet safe are very few compared to the ones who really don't care.

I always turn off the light when I leave my room, even if for 2 minutes, I always stop the water when I brush my teeth, I never throw garbage randomly, I never use my car in the city - I prefer walking or taking the subway, I recycle, and many others...

I don't do anything that would actually make a difference in the long run

I do not fart when i am out!

I was about to ask this questions ^_^

I could do so much better, but i am doing a little.

I recycle, all food products are put in a "pig bucket" then fed to the next door neighbours pigs, all paper and cardboard products that cannot be re-used are burnt not thrown out, all power-points are always switched off even when nothing is plugged in, or the appliance is turned off. Lights are turned off when not in use, grass clippings and other organic waste is put into a compost bin and used to re-fertilize gardens. We grow our own vegetables to avoid eating nasty chemicals. The house is insulated to keep it warmer so we use less heaters/fires to warm up. Our hot water is heated by fire not electricity, I drive but i car pool, filling my car up with people when i go to work.

I think thats about it.

Njord drives around constantly in his gas hogging Hummer, constantly forgetting to get the oil changed so there's this stream of blue smoke following him around where ever Njord goes. Of course, Njord takes care to eat AT LEAST one endangered animal every day, raw and preferably alive. Then Njord goes and buys a new fur coat with a Player hat every day (a Bald Eagle feather topping it of course), even if it's summer, cuz Pimpin is Pimpin is Pimpin.
