The world is getting warmer, but there is no hard facts as to why. All we can do is wait it out. Eventually someone will get it right. We will probably be dead, but eventually.

I don't think even the MASS burning of fossil fuels could cause a GLOBAL increase of temperature.
Yes the Earth naturally warms up but Human activities are increasing the warming of the planet at a higher rate.

When you break down the sources of CO2 emissions, you'll actually see that humans are one of the least contributing parties. Decaying plantlife takes the crown at 30% or so, and we're only at something of 2%.
However, our emissions are still more than what the delicate balance of the Earth had been. The oceans are basically a giant CO2 sink, and we have forests like the Boreal Forest in Canada which provides a huge amount of oxygen back into the atmosphere, and it worked for a very long time, getting gradually warmer since we started agricultural civilizations some 11,000 years ago. (And before that it went through warming and cooling periods for various other reasons.)
The Earth is constantly changing, only now it's affecting us, so it's a "problem".

I love the way people support the planting of trees to cut down on CO2 through photosynthesis, but are ignorant to the fact that when there is no sunlight the trees release CO2 all night, pretty much negating whatever CO2 they absorbed during daylight hours.

We do have a serious share in this problem, that's for sure. it's hard to change our lifestyle that much, but the changes are also being a problem now. Still it's a good idea to try and change some things in the way we live, to recycle some more, not waste that much energy when it's not needed. Not huge changes, but on an international scale, it would show.
