I think they do try to do something OK. There are some huge animal abuse cases in some countries. Stray dogs being burnt alive (as a mean of euthanasia, while some people put the money in their pockets and "solve" the problem for "free"), there are animals being skinned ALIVE for some very expensive fur coats. I just don't want to give you links to such videos since I wasn't able to watch them either. For such cases PETA is a good thing. Sure sometimes they tend to go overboard, but I think mainly they are OK

PETA is good both and bad. They sometimes exagerate and they fall in the other extreme, by protecting EVERY animal... Like don't kill animals anymore for shoes, that's stupid! Am I supposed to wear now shoes made out of wood or what??? Ok, i agree that it's not good killing rare animals, but when we're talking about sheep I don't see the problem..... They're killed anywayz for their meat!

In 2006 PETA took 2103 animals into their headquarters.

They "euthanised" 1325 of them.

If an animal pound did that, PETA would be on their case, screaming about the bloody murder the pound was committing.

One time, they slaughtered German Sheperds to get their point across.
