Here you can discuss everything related to the art of creating music: what instrument(s) do you play? How long have you been playing? What gear do you use? What styles of music do you play most? Are you in a band?

If it has to do with being a musician, then it belongs in this thread.

I play guitar, bass, and drums. I've been playing the guitar the longest (almost five years), and it is my "primary" instrument, I guess. I've been playing bass and drums each for about three years now.

My guitars are a Gibson SG Special, Gibson Flying V, and a Seagull C6 acoustic. I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 40-watt amp, and I practice and record with a Roland MicroCube amp (the best $125 I ever spent). I also play a Tama Rockstar 5-piece drum kit, with a wide assortment of cymbals that I have collected from various sources during the past few years. My bass guitar is a cheap Samick that I traded with some guy for a couple of non-functioning, very old amplifiers.

I play various types of music, ranging from jazz and blues to classic rock, but punk and metal are my favorite kinds of music to play and write.

I'm currently between bands at the moment, but I've got a few leads on people who are interested, so hopefully I will be playing again soon.

I play clarinet and piano. (I don't count the clarinet because I hate the damn thing)

but on piano I get a bunch of sheet music from the pianocian online. he transposes the songs to piano exactly how they are in the song. not just a few crummy chords and an off-key melody that you usually find. that dude just wins at everything ^_^

but I just nearly perfected "what i've done" by linkin park on it

my boyfriend plays bass in a band though. i'm friends with the other guys in it too. one of em kicks ass on guitar.
