So do you discriminate people just for listening to other genres of music than you do? For example some may hate people that listen rock because of the general image of violence and the dark aura that surround rock music in general.

I do, in a way.
I don't let the music effect how i see the person, but if i don't like what they listen to i'll constantly put them down because of it.
The only genre's i don't like are pop, hip-hop, techno...any kind of computer-generated sound.

Sometimes, probably because I consider music to be a very important thing to me. You wont see me hanging out with anyone that listens mostly to rap or hip-hop. Mostly because I probably don't have anything in common with them.

Not all hip hop is computer generated. There are artists like common and Mos Def and groups like the roots who use live instruments. You should listen to it all before you judge it all or just keep your mouth shut.

Real music lovers, don't discriminate. They may not like it all but they can surely appreciate it. I am eclectic. I love hip hop and r&b but I also like rock, jazz, funk, punk, soul, pop, and country.

I listen to hip-hop, just by lookin' at me, you'd probably guess I listen to emo or hardcore.

Most people around where I live listen to mainstream rock and country.

It's something I just don't care about.

Yeah I discriminate. People who listen to the real commercial type rap...Dj Khaled, Rick Ross, Timbaland type ish. Especially those white girls...oh lord. Not be racist or snobby. But oh lord. Y'all cannot judge until you hear some of these burby chicks singin' "I'm sooo hooooood" in the hallways. I'm gettin off point. Um...people who ONLY listen to Lil' Wayne. And dudes who think Linkin park is cool. Shit is corny.

I'm not really into that nasally voiced, metal, or cat-being-skinned-type sound that so many of y'all are into but have no really problem with it. Modern-style R&B an Pop neither.It all doesz what it doesz for whoever the hell's into it. And depending on the atmosphere I could even enjoy the vibes.
