I love Jazz and Classical stuff
Yeah that's what I heard about piano.
I'm not so good at sight reading. I do so much better if i can hear the music before i play it.

yeah
i can play by ear easily if it's only one tune playing but since piano gets very chordal i end up having to read music. My sight reading for piano still sucks majorly cause you have to look at more than one line at the same time but it makes the other instruments sight reading at the same level seem like a doddle

Sight reading is a good skill.
If you have a good sense of pitch, it is so much easier to play by ear. I am very fortunate to have a good ear. according to this test, i have 97% pitch.

I can play by ear. And I can think of cool shit easily. I have a very odd way of making guitar riffs. I make patterns from scales (Can be more than one), and I play it at a certain area, and I play it at lightning speed. I use different patterns from different parts of the songs.
