Default questions !

my friend and i like to think of questions for fun sometimes, when we're bored. couldn't think of any answers to them, so feel free to answer...or put other questions.

#1. why do we sometimes find it so much easier to trust a stranger rather than some of our closest friends?

#2. why do we ask a question when we already know the answer? just to hear it come out of their mouth? isn't it kind of selfish to want to hear something just for your own personal satisfaction?

#3. why do we expect so much more from others than we do from ourselves?

#4. why do we do we lie? to save another from hearing the truth? or to save ourselves from having to tell the truth?

#5. why do we often value friends/ things that we know are bad for us?

#1. why do we sometimes find it so much easier to trust a stranger rather than some of our closest friends? So we aren't judged by some one we care about or know

#2. why do we ask a question when we already know the answer? just to hear it come out of their mouth? isn't it kind of selfish to want to hear something just for your own personal satisfaction?People are greedy, and for self assurance

#3. why do we expect so much more from others than we do from ourselves?we're lazy

#4. why do we do we lie? to save another from hearing the truth? or to save ourselves from having to tell the truth?Uhm, I guess it depends what you're lying about

#5. why do we often value friends/ things that we know are bad for us?Because there is some aspect to said thing that we like

#1 we trust strangers because they don't have a connection to the people in our lives. and if we tell them our problems they can't really gossip, because there would be no one in their life who would care...

#2 idk....

#3 because it's easier to be mad at other people when they don't meet our expectations than it is for us to be mad at our selves for not meeting those same expectations

#4 we lie because we are guilty. that or we want to cover for a SURPRISE PARTY!!! whoo! jk

#5 Its not that we value it, it's the forbidden fruit thing. bad things tend to be hypnotizing as well. maybe a want to walk on the wild side or death wish?

No emotional ties- opinion and judgement of you is not a dent in your ego

#2. why do we ask a question when we already know the answer? just to hear it come out of their mouth? isn't it kind of selfish to want to hear something just for your own personal satisfaction?

to reassure ourselves we have the right answer or to have the opportunity to preach yourself on them

#3. why do we expect so much more from others than we do from ourselves?
Its easy

#4. why do we do we lie? to save another from hearing the truth? or to save ourselves from having to tell the truth?
Both- it's also quite a good defence mechanism- denial

#5. why do we often value friends/ things that we know are bad for us?
not valued- low self esteem in finding something better?
