I think this site should get chats. It would attract a lot of people. Maybe not the best people, but thats why moderators were invented lol.

Honestly, can't we be better than Teenspot in at least one area?

I think it makes us look bad, having a "chatroom".

I can't help but think that the reason you guys want a chatroom is because you're very eager--if not desperate--for social acceptance, with little regards with whom it might be.

I'm telling you, it makes us look bad, unless you care about the opinions of losers.

Teenspot doesn't have moderators in the chatrooms, and they've basically gone out of control. If we had moderators, we could control the chats, and if they get out of hand, we could just delete them. Personally, i'd rather have a semi-safe site with not chats, then another teenspot.

Well, what content do you consider to be delete-worthy?

I'm thinking along the lines of any mindless crap. Yes, it doesn't add or take away from the forum, or their post counts, but why would you give people the opportunity to be more immature than they already are ON YOUR BOARDS?!

Keep it as it is. The benefits aren't even considerably good anyways, so don't risk a positive image to gain losers.

Well, seeing as you're from teenspot, you've must of seen the chats before. I think they are delete worthy, if Teenphrase's get anywhere near that bad, they should be deleted. But right now we need members to keep the site running.
If we had moderators that actually used the chat, it would get rid of the pedophile problem. And this is a TEEN forum. Not all teen's are mature, and were suppose to be attracting different types of teens.

I went in once, and was bored to temporary misery. They are complete crap, and if you keep recruiting people from Teenspot, how do you figure it will be much different, if at all?
Sure, members are great, but ones who aren't losers--you know who they are--
are better.

Get rid of it? Hardly. Who is to say those chats, or even HERE, will not lead to inapropriate instant messanger relationships? Where do you think they start in the first place? At least one party lies, the other, who is a complete moron, buys into the image being presented to them, then they take it further and talk more often and effectively on messenger, after their addresses are shared.

Also, though variety is good, it does often ruin the image. Losers always end up dominating forums, because they choose to spend more time there.

Don't get too caught up in quality just yet. We're doing fine. Heck, I've had over.....45-50 responses to my posts alone. The majority of them are pretty respectable posts too. I mean, we can take up thread space insulting the idiots, but they die down quickly, unlike good discussions/debates.

If you want to be structured--which everyone should want in any walk of life--then you have to have faith that getting quality members WILL work.

There is no gaurantee it will work, as my attempt at it failed within a week, but you have to at least try, unless having a forum filled with crap appeals to you.
