Like I would like a way to block certain poster so that I cannot see what they are writing.

For example: I would like to be able to click something that hides all the posts from the whiners who keep spreading their obvious hate for this site. I mean, I'm sort of enjoying this site but its annoying that everytime a new person comes or says something these "people" come and say how horribly boring the site is (even though they are on it 24 hours at a time ).

So is there a way to get a feature like that so that users can read a thread minus the internet emo crap?

There is.
1. Go to their profile.
2. Find the blue bar right below their profile picture & avatar, and click "Add ____ to Your Ignore List".
Simple as that.
