I smoke weed occasionally and drink fairly frequently, and although cannabis smoking is obviously a contraversial issue and I do NOT big it up to anyone, though a hypocrit I may be, like drinking- it's about finding a balance. I've sat 16 GCSE's and I'm going to college and then university and I intend to keep drinking throughout (however, I will also study hard and only drink a few times a month because you need to have things in perspective). I also smoke. You aren't the only one who smokes and drinks, it IS possible to still thrive in life, that's what I'll be doing. I mean, you say you hate your parents etc, but why aren't you just thinking 'FUCK THEM' and getting on with your life? Maybe if you act more 'adult' as you want them to treat you, they will understand that you are a young man now and deserve freedom. But I think telling them you hate them and stuff isn't the way to prove your maturity.

I mean good luck and all, but I do think the first step towards improvement is improving your attitude towards your life.
