1. Don't UNDERVALUE yourself on the interview. Don't say "I don't know", say "I learn fast".

2. DO your job the best you can.

3. Don't enter small petty conflicts with your fellow workers. Stay above all these. On the long run it does help a lot.

4. Don't be mean to others, try to be nice and well behaved. Poeple will love you and the entire workplace will be more fun

5. Do know how to stick for your rights. Know the LAWS very well and make sure you are not abused by your employer

6. Don't accept ANY form of sexual harassment. It will get worse

- always be punctual
- establish very well from the beginning your job duties, and don't do anything extra unless you are rewarded
- never lie by saying you can do something when you don't - sometime, you will be 'caught'...
- be nice to the customers, smile as much as you can - always works

Good ideas. Being nice with the customers is hard sometimes since they can really be a pain, but if you mistreat them, you're out. Not showing up on time can also lead to many problems. I also agree with the "don't do more than you are paid to" most of the time. There are some occasions when it's a good idea to put some more effort, but not too much since in the end your efforts should get you more money

Do not talk about your co-workers behind their back. It will get back to them.

1. brooms are long. Glass is fraglie. And glass is on open shelves that can be hit with the broom. and the content in those jars usually are VERY annoying to clean up!! (at least in grocery stores)

2. the price gun is NOT meant to be used on humans!!!

3. the cute girl who is a regular at the store is nearly always taken

4. Never say that a certain product sucks to a customer. Always say something like... well i like....

5. earphones and work usually don't mingle well

6. Somebody is always watching........

7. dogs that a customer ties up outside should be avoided at all times when they are alone

8. the discounts for food that you get if you work at a food store are VERY useful when you also get to use your dad's senior membership card

9. is they have music going in the backkground, never ask if they can switch to a different song or station

10. Bob Marley is well known in the hippy community

11. "carbonated" is a way of saying "fragile" when you have cans and plastic bottles of liquid around.

12. never call your boss "master" no matter how fun it is to say.

13. grocery store coffee is always too strong

14. if you stock products, always put the old in front (you never know when the boss is watching

15. when stocking things on really high shelves with a ladder, look down every time you pick up a product.

16. don't ya hate papercuts?

17. always remind yourself at the end of the day, "DAMN the idiot! you STILL can't ask her out because you're such a whimp!"

18. when you walk to work all the time, never bring a lot of stuff. just you a coat and things that fit in pockets (i always forget my stuff until 7/8 of the way home.)
