I do have a problem with society today and the fact many girls are rushed into having sex just from peer pressure. Because 'everyone's doing it'. Some years ago, being a virgin was a virtue, now we have the exact opposite, it's a shame. Maybe this wouldn't be such an issue if many teen agers wouldn't do this NOT because they feel like it, but because others say they should. I might be a tad oldfashioned, but I still think a girl should do this when she is personally prepared and wants this ... what do you think?

Honestly, I have never met anyone who would pressure their friends into having sex because it's "cool". But I hear about it all the time. I'm almost certain it has to do with the maturity levels of these girls, and guys.

Depending on how you look at it, your virginity could be something sacred, or just sex. For me, it was kind of in between. It was more about the closeness then losing my virginity.
But for alot of people, it just depends on their moral values, and since everyone is different, everyone's morals are different.

You can't blame society because people are becoming too spineless to say "no" to something they don't actually want to do.

When it comes down to it, it's the individual who agrees to have sex because they worry that if they don't then their friends will think less of them. If they learned to stand up for themselves a little more, there wouldn't be such a problem.

Nobody should be doing it just becase everyone is. Your first sexual experience is a very important one, it influences the rest of your experiences usually... You want it to be special, to turn out right, to have a good memory of it! If you do it just because you were pushed to, you will most probably not enjoy it. On the other hand, when you are with the right person and you really feel this is the next step, this is what you wanna do ... it's must more prefferable.

I don't think age isn't a good criteria, you should only do what you feel like doing, no matter the age, no matter what others tell you, no matter if you're the last one in your anturage or any other bad reason....
