I didnt have sex until I was 18. and i dont regret it at all ^_^ my sister and her partner (21 and 23) have been together for almost 4 years and they are both waiting til they get married.

I think its good for those who can wait... but i dont regret not doing, it was nothing to do with peer pressure. i was in love with my boyfriend and felt it was the right time. and it was.

having sex because everyone else does it- you must have such low self esteem to start with
i think the peer pressure of no sex before marriage is harsh too
sure, in the olden days it's a sin to not be a virgin before marriage- but hey- you got married around 12-14 years old
when sexual instincts and hormones start to kick in
but since getting married is happening mostly mid-late 20s...it's a bit hard to just keep yourself under control

Most people would not pressure their friends into having sex. I think it's safe to say that most don't care about anyone else's sex life but their own.
If you feel pressured, you probably created that pressure internally, in your own mind.
The best way to cope with that would be to take on a different attitude about sex; you can think of virginity as a negative or a positive: some people value it, and are only willing to give it away to the right person. Some people are desperate to throw it away.

What about the people who don't really care? I don't cherish it, but I'm not holding onto it like a diamond.
